Is anyone else obsessed with this BBC miniseries, ‘Broadchurch’??? It airs Wednesdays at 7 & 10p on BBC America.
It has everything I like:
- Small coastal English towns
- Foreign Actors
- Foreign Accents
- Hot Foreign Actors (Thank you, Andrew Buchan)
- Suspense, Intrigue, and Secrets. Lots and lots of secrets
This 8 installment miniseries aired in the UK last spring and started airing here in August on BBC America. It follows inhabitants of a small town in England trying to solve the murder of an 11 year old boy and EVERYONE has blood on his/her hands.
We are 3 episodes from the end and I still can’t figure out who killed young Danny Latimer and I really hope it’s not his dad, cause he’s too pretty to go to jail, or whatever they call ‘jail’ over there. However, since suspense was killing 2 of the houligans they went on this thing called the ‘internet’ and did the equivalent of reading the last page of a novel (something I ALWAYS do). They now know who ‘did it’ and they taunt me at every turn. I vacillate between begging them to tell me, and begging them not to tell me. I’m a mess.
Anyways, if you are into this sort of thing, check it out! Apparently the series won all sorts of awards and it’s easy to see why. The only disappointment is that they don’t show the British commercials! Such a bummer.
